This design was for the Society of Publication Designers national student competition. I created an article in the "How To" category, featuring my bearded sweetheart in a piece titled "How To Grow A Splendid Beard Like A Pro!" I wanted to incorporate many different areas, such as photography, illustration, typography, and letterpress. I was awarded 3rd place in this national competition, and I received a scholarship, an Adobe Creative Suite, and an invaluable summer internship at People magazine in New York City!
